Licensed Therapist Job Description

The Licensed Therapist will provide outpatient individual therapy (group/couple as needed/desired) to clients at Pike Road Counseling, LLC. Clinical therapy services include treatment of adults, children, adolescents, couples and families. Treatment specialties may include: children, couples, trauma, EMDR, family, etc.

Reports to: Executive Director/Owner, Mindy Landrum.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in counseling, social work or marriage and family therapy; and

Active, unrestricted license (ALC, LPC, LGSW, LCSW, LMFT, MFTA) in the State of Alabama. A copy must be provided to Pike Road Counseling, LLC.

Available to hold at least 15 client sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and referred/scheduled by Pike Road Counseling.

Other Qualification Preferences:

NCE (or appropriate) exam completed.

Prior experience in a private practice setting.

At least one year experience post-unrestricted licensure.

Have at least one niche market for counseling services (i.e., children, teens, trauma, anxiety, grief, anger management, etc.).

Motivated to build own clientele based on niche and grow with the company.
Experience and willing to market yourself via face to face contact, blogs, videos, etc.

Comfortable with computer programs/EHR.
Work well as a team.
Patience and understanding that building a caseload takes time and effort.

Hours:

Work hours and schedule may vary depending on client and Pike Road Counseling needs. Hours may include some nights and/or weekends but will be set/blocked in advance. Therapist is not guaranteed a minimum number of clients or sessions per week. However, it is expected that Therapist will be available to hold at least 15 client sessions per week and on 2 separate days/evenings a week, provided such sessions are available and referred/scheduled by Pike Road Counseling. Client sessions are held in the offices of Pike Road Counseling.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform on-site clinical counseling services to clients of Pike Road Counseling, as scheduled, and in accordance with company policies.
Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to work is required.
Be properly licensed and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for Pike Road Counseling.
Respond to clients’ requests for service or calls within 24 hours whether such requests are made in person, by phone, voicemail, etc. or through the Pike Road Counseling website. Respond to such requests by meeting, evaluating, and providing services to such clients.
Communicate with a client’s treatment team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary.
Timely complete written records for each client including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contract notes, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from time-to-time by Pike Road Counseling or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the patient within a timely fashion (by Friday of each week). Keep client files accurate and up to date in our EHR system.
Charge and collect payments from clients for services provided consistent with the policy and rate for such services as established by Pike Road Counseling.
Attend mandatory staff meetings and training as directed by Pike Road Counseling.
Conduct and regulate counseling services in a professional manner so as to maintain and increase the good will and reputation of Pike Road Counseling. Be respectful of and cooperative and collaborative with co-workers.
Other duties which may by assigned by Pike Road Counseling.
