I am excited to join the team at Pike Road Counseling!

 

My various experiences helped build my foundation as a therapist.

I was a military spouse for 18 years and worked closely with soldiers and their families, personally and professionally, throughout that time. I completed graduate
school while homeschooling my son and working part-time in an after-school program in my community.

I have training in Play Therapy, AutPlay, and trauma techniques. This training allows me to enter a child’s world in their most comfortable setting, play! Through their lens, we establish a safe
and therapeutic relationship based on symbolic play to explore thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behavior. I have experience with children and adolescents in a school-based setting with depression, anxiety, and self-esteem.

 

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, camping, and traveling.

 

I look forward to working with your child as they work toward their goals to be the best version of themselves.
